The Rams will be returning to Los Angeles and will play the 2016 season there, probably in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum until their new stadium in Inglewood, California has been completed. The new stadium will be a state-of-the art, 1.85B edifice with every amenity a fan could possibly want, but my heart will always be in the Coliseum where Deacon made his name.
The last time I was in the Coliseum was when I had Deacon’s memorial service there two weeks after he passed away, and the Coliseum committee placed a huge #75 center field. That was two and a half years ago and the tribute to him is still there. I hope it can stay there forever!
The Rams fans in St. Louis have been very good to us and it is sad for them to lose the team they embraced, but I can’t help wanting to see them back in the arena where Deacon became famous and where they provided a home for him forever. Welcome back!
